1) Get Better Harddisk – use SATA harddisk with bigger cache (64mb), faster rotational speed 7200rpm
2) Get More RAM
- 32bits – 4Gb for Windows Vista/Windows 7
- 64bits – the more the better
3) If you are using a shared/built-in graphics card. Get a dedicated PCI-e Graphics Card
4) Update all devices drivers and System BIOS
5) Use cleaning tools to remove and delete unnecessary files/folders in
- Windows Prefetch folder
- C:\windows\$NtUninstallKBxxxxxxxxxx$ folders (where xxxxxxxxx is string of numbers)
- C:\windows\KBxxxxxxxxxlog (where xxxxxxxxx is string of numbers)
- C:\windows\SoftwareDistribution\download

6) Remove any unnecessary programs and/or items from Windows Startup routine using the MSCONFIG.
7) Remove any unnecessary or unused programs from the Add/Remove Programs section of the Control Panel.
8) Perform Windows Update Manually (every 2 weeks)
9) Upgrade Antivirus software and Update the Antivirus signatures often (Recommended every 2 hours) www.kaspersky.com
10) Defrag Harddisk regularly. Use Defrag softwares.

13) Work in a simple and clean Windows

- Keep desktop clean, Do not keep files on desktop.
14) Every year, open up the PC and clean up system, power supply and graphics fans. Vacuum suck the dust in the PC.
