There are two ways to use Apple Iphone 4/4S, Ipad 2/3 for Presentation.
1) Use Apple TV’s Airplay (http://www.apple.com/appletv/ – US$99)
- Airplay – AirPlay lets you wirelessly stream what’s on your iOS device to your HDTV and speakers. (http://www.apple.com/appletv/airplay/)
- Air Play is available in AppleTV 2 or 3 using Any device with IOS 4.3 or newer
- AirPlay Mirroring and dual screen are available with iPad 2 or later and iPhone 4S.
- Not sold in many countries (reason – content not available yet)
- Only in photo and video, it might be in full screen depending on your image/video resolution
- still poor output quality compared Android HDMI Output, not full screen
- need special apps for this function
- very cool as no cables are required
2) Use Apple Digital AV Adapter (http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD098ZM/A – US$39)
- Only in photo and video, it might be in full screen depending on your image/video resolution
- still poor output quality compared Android HDMI Output, not full screen
- no need special apps
- messy cables, Digital AV Cable, HDMI Cable, Apple USB Power Cable. Need Power to work.
Conclusion : Both methods do not provide a good user experience as the screen is not full screen. The screen output is poor compared to Android’s HDMI output. In this aspect, Apple did not address this issue well enough.
